specifically the first time I heard Jim jordan 11 bred Nabors sing, but I believe it was on one of the variety shows of the 70's.

I do remember that he sang two songs within that particular show, (maybe Dick Cavett?) and it must have made at least a relative impression, as I remember it to this bred 11s day, if not in detail.
